DG INFSO rapping for ICT

There is one hot topic at the moment in Brussels, one hot question: who will be the next EU Council president and who will be the next “foreign affairs minister”? A hot question bringing another one: when will we have women at the top of the EU institutions?
Speaking of which, a conference called “Cyberellas are IT!” took place on 3 March 2009 to celebrate International Women’s Day with the participation of the EC. Good news: there is a video summarizing the event (music video?) coming from DG INFSO: “IT is wicked”! The recipe is simple: take some IT stuff, some innocent girls, a cool Commissioner and let it rap! If you missed it, check it out!
Strangely, it is not on EUTube and poorly branded with only one EU logo at the end… But it looks almost “EUtube-ready” considering the repeated appearances of INFSO Commissionner Viviane Reding. What is the purpose then? Buzzing for Europe? Promoting the EU’s IT policies? Helping Miss Reding staying 5 more years at the EC? What if our Commissionner was the one to bring back balance into EU politics?
Eventually, this video doesn’t seem to be meant to teach us something, nor to make some buzz… Why this video then? What for? Any ideas are welcome…

This rap is “raping” both my eyes and ears. I am still waiting for the heavy metal version.
