From iPad to iNnovative presentations

This may sound obvious for many people: professional presentations (especially on Powerpoint) should always be innovative, interesting, instructive and generate discussions. At least in theory… The reality is often less flattering and I can’t remember the number of times where I had to wait for the end of lame presentations shaped as endless monologs, my last one being in an office of the European Commission.
Speaking of which, there are luckily still good practices and good models to get inspiration from, the most prominent of all being probably Apple CEO, Steve Jobs.
Yesterday’s keynote which introduced the new iPad didn’t make an exception. One may not like Apple or Steve Jobs, but following his keynotes is a real show with lots of hints… and also gimmicks.
In a word, your presentations should be “cool”, “great”, “awesome” and full of wow effects! Easy to say, easier to have a sample of it! The following video is the funny explanation of this theory.

Eventually, each presentation/business is different with various targets. If one may apply general rules and even be as cool as Steve Jobs, this shouldn’t prevent you from proofreading and double-checking your presentations to make them fully understandable and unforgettable for your audiences. The EU audience is one of those specific targets and this is part of our job at Digimahti to help them/you being fascinating.
